first thing out of my mouth was “this is a GOOD cup of coffee”! been a while since i had coffee that wasn’t from some chain like starbucks, so i stopped in here during my free time at work. super fast service, doing a great job with maintaining cleanliness and social distancing due to COVID-19, and had a large selection of items. even though i couldn’t dine in, you can tell it has a welcoming atmosphere. if i’m in the area for work again i’ll definitely return.
Cute coffee shop in the Heights. The staff is always really friendly, the coffee always delicious and I can rarely resist the huge cinnamon rolls. I run my company out of my house so having a cozy neighborhood place to work outside the home is really nice.
Stopped by here after dinner. Staff member was nice and good. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The seating outside was okay. Parking kinda sucks because the parking lot is small, but the nearby side street was usable.
Amazing food, drinks, and people! One of the coziest places I have ever say down at.
I love this place. Wonderful coffee and pastries. I love the barista is friendly and he speaks Spanish.
Nice and cozy coffee spot! We were able to park right on the side street across from it. Got the Cajeta latte and bottomless coffee. Cajeta really tastes like goat’s milk/cheese (I’m really sensitive to goat milk product so it really stands out to me). Lots of people studying / reading with relaxing music.
I remember when I was a little boy and used to get my haircut here before it was Antidote. Love these guys. Thanks again for the water, food, and good conversation John!
The colorful patio will make your day cheerful! It was definitely my favorite place to sit! The Chai Latte I ordered was absolutely delicious!
Great place. Perfect for working, relaxing, or hanging out with friends. The staff is fantastic. If you've never been, they make sure you feel comfortable and know how everything works. They'll even recommend their favorite concoctions... like a rose vanilla almond milk latte. You should try it. Parking is limited in the lot, but you can park on 8th street. Oh, and did I say vegan cinnamon rolls!?!?
Laidback coffee shop with some great coffee. The food selection is limited but sometimes there is a food truck parked up front. They have a nice patio and there is always available parking. I like Antidote as a place to hangout and catch up with friends rather than a place to try and be productive/work.
I would give zero stars if that were an option. Two weeks ago I was verbally assaulted by one of the baristas for asking her to change her gloves after she changed the trash. She told me she was sanitizing the gloves and I responded that was gross. As a healthcare worker, I can tell you this is not an acceptable practice. I returned to the store today to be told by the barista she did not feel comfortable serving me. I was going to the shop 2-4 times a week. In a time when supporting your local businesses is very important, be aware that at Antidote loyal customers are not appreciated and the baristas can yell profanities at you for asking them to practice good hand hygiene. Very disappointed at the lack of service response.
In my opinion, the coffee is a little expensive, but probably on par with the other coffee shops that serve fancy ish drinks. I have always gotten a good, tasty and bold cup of coffee there, though. I wish they had more parking available in the lot they share with the Art Institute.
Oh my goodness what a fun place! I discovered this only recently, through their annual Craftidote craft fair, which just happened today. We hung out in the cafe ahead of time and just loved it. Great eclectic space with art and lounging areas as well as the standard row of single tables for all the hipsters with laptops. Excellent menu. Enough parking (on a regular day; because of Craftidote we parked around the corner and walked but that's hardly usual). Will return; so glad to have discovered this!
I don't normally drink coffee, so I didn't. I got the hot chocolate! It was like any other hot chocolate, with whipped cream and chocolate syrup! The price was high. $3.50 for a small cup. Antidote earned 4 stars because of their service and atmosphere! As soon as I walked in I was welcomed and they were so sweet enough to offer samples for the drinks. As soon as we sat down, I noticed the cafe music and the chill ambiance. This is a great place for studying for sure.
Good coffee, but slow wifi and no restroom. They suggest walking 3 blocks to a gas station to find a restroom.
Very chill indoor outdoor Cafe in the heights. Great coffee snacks and assorted beers. Dogs welcome outside, Wi Fi, ample street parking in the Woodland Heights. Really nice place to hang out.
Great place. Small neighborhood coffee shop. They also offer pastries and brews and other products from small local shops.
Favourite coffee shop in town. Coffee is amazing, staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Cute indoor set-up with tables, benches, and some couches. Lots of outdoor seating space and open late. If you're lucky, you might catch a food truck outside. Free parking available as well.
Great location for working/studying.
This is a cute coffeeshop that's open late. I visited this store as part of a Where's Waldo search for local businesses. It is located in a small strip mall with a shared parking lot. There is some protected outdoor seating. The staff is cordial. There are baked goods in addition to the coffee options. I plan to visit again.
I love this place, you can sit and read while you drink coffee! There is no parking space, it is the only bad thing.
